Diplomová práce se ve své první části zabývá vznikem Československé republiky a fungováním kultury v tomto období. Druhá část je zaměřena konkrétně na Polnou, pětitisícovou obec na Českomoravské vysočině. Popisuje kulturní život v tomto malém městě, který neuvěřitelně vzkvétal zejména v 19. století, a národní obrození zde určovalo směřování kultury i za první republiky. Abstract:
In the first part, the diploma thesis deals with the origin of the Czechoslovak Republic and the functioning of culture during this period. The second part is focused specifically on Polná, a town of 5,000 residents located in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands.
