Leisure activity for seniors.

Abstract:

Teoretická část práce bude zpracována formou literární rešerše z prostudované odborné literatury. Rešerše se bude zabývat odborným pohledem na seniory, jejich schopnostmi, možnostmi a úlohou ve společnosti. V praktické části bude proveden dotazníkový průzkum mapující organizace ve městě Varnsdorf, které nabízejí různé aktivity a volnočasové programy přímo určené nebo vhodné pro seniory. Dále bude proveden průzkum o povědomí, zájmu a účasti na těchto akcích ze strany varnsdorfských seniorů. Ten bude proveden rovněž formou dotazníkového šetření. Výzkumná část bude provedena na vzorku nejméně 50 respondentů. Dotazník pro seniory bude ve většině otázek navazovat na dotazník pro organizace. V závěru práce budou výsledky obou dotazníků vyhodnoceny a porovnány s teoretickou částí. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaké jsou možnosti vyžití seniorů v malém městě, zda je jejich propagace dostatečná a zda o tyto aktivity lidé jeví zájem, případně jak propagaci aktivit více zviditelnit.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of the thesis takes the form of secondary data collection gained from existing technical literature sources. The research concentrates on the technical view of seniors in literature, their abilities, opportunities and role in society. The practical part of the thesis includes a survey by questionnaire documenting the organizations within the town of Varnsdorf that offer various activities, facilities and leisure time programs strictly catering for seniors or programs which are suitable for them. This will be followed by a survey which concentrates on their awareness, interest and experience of participation in these events. The data will be gained by administering a questionnaire to a sample of 50 respondents (randomly chosen). The questions for seniors will be mainly concerning questions regarding the organisation. The conclusion of the thesis will show the results of both questionnaires which will be evaluated and compared with the secondary data we collected in the theoretical part of the thesis. My goal is to find out what are the possibilities that can be utilized by seniors in a small town like Varnsdorf and to analyze if the promotion of these facilities is sufficient or if not how to better promote them and to find out just how interested the seniors really are in these activities.
