Nová technologie termokompresního kontaktování a pouzdření SMD součástek a modulů na textilní substráty

Abstract:

Předkládaná disertační práce se zabývá novou technologií termokompresního kontaktování a realizací elektrického propojení součástek a modulů s textilními substráty. Úvod práce je zaměřen na popis charakteristických vlastností elektrického kontaktu a klíčových faktorů ovlivňujících jeho spolehlivost, stabilitu, linearitu a celkovou hodnotu elektrického odporu. Dále jsou představeny současné metody kontaktování používané u flexibilních polymerních a textilních substrátů společně se způsoby jejich pouzdření pro zvýšení mechanické a chemické odolnosti. V praktické části je představena termokompresní technologie s využitím 3D tištěných termoplastických pouzder, vybavení nutné k zavedení této technologie, ale také analýza dielektrických a termických parametrů dostupných materiálů a jejich výběr s ohledem na jejich vzájemnou kompatibilitu s textilními substráty. Dále jsou v práci popsány experimenty vedoucí ke komplexní charakterizaci realizovaných kontaktů a zhodnocení vlivů na jejich dlouhodobou stabilitu. V závěru jsou na základě výsledků doporučeny vhodné materiály, topologie pouzdření součástek a vodivých cest a také procesní parametry. Současně je také nastíněn další směr pokračování výzkumu v této oblasti.

Abstract:

The dissertation thesis is concerned with the novel technology of thermo-compression contacting and the realisation of interconnections of electronic components and modules with textile substrates. The introduction deals with a description of electronic contact characteristic properties and its key parameters that influence reliability, stability, linearity, and electrical resistance's global value. The next part of the thesis introduces currently used contacting methods for flexible and textile substrates, altogether with encapsulation methods which globally increase mechanical and chemical resistance. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the description of a new thermo-compression contacting method using 3D printed thermoplastic polymer housing and the needed equipment to put it into practice. The materials for 3D printed housings were selected based on the thermal and dielectric properties, mutual compatibility, and compatibility with the textile substrate. The realized contacts were comprehensively characterized by stress conditions and the measured results were evaluated. Based on the results, the suitable materials, topology of components housing and encapsulation of conductive traces and process parameters are determined. The next specialization and research in this area is outlined.
