Psychological evolution of a homosexual individual

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce "Psychický vývoj homosexuálního jedince", je zaměřena na problematiku sexuální orientace jedince, homosexualitu. Poukazuje na nezbytnost spolupráce rodiny, okolí a společnosti, zdůrazňuje pozitiva v sebepřijetí jedince s odlišnou orientací. Definuje specifika rozdílného pohledu společnosti, etiologii homosexuality, jednotlivé etapy psychického vývoje jedinců, kterými homosexuální člověk prochází. Metodou kvalitativního šetření jsou stručné případové studie, které demonstrují zlomové okamžiky v životě homosexuálů, popisují sebepřijetí, interakce s okolím i celospolečenské klima. Metodou kvantitativního šetření je dotazník, který je sestaven s cílem zjistit, jak vnímá homosexualitu společnost. Dotazníky jsou vyhodnoceny a zpracovány tabulkovým řešením, grafickým vyjádřením a písemným popisem. Prvořadým cílem práce je provést podrobnou analýzu psychického vývoje homosexuálního jedince, přispět k liberálnímu, objektivnímu pohledu na problematiku homosexuality s cílem zmírnit negativní názory veřejnosti na člověka s odlišnou sexuální orientací.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis "The psychological evolution of a homosexual individual" focuses on the issue of sexual orientation of an individual, homosexuality. It points out the need for family, friends, other people and the whole society to co-operate, emphasizing the positives of self-acceptance of an individual with a different orientation. It defines the specifics of the different attitude of society, the etiology of homosexuality, the individual stages of the psychological development of the individuals through which the homosexual person passes. The qualitative survey methods are brief case studies demonstrating breakthrough moments in the life of gay men, describing self-acceptance, interaction with the environment, and the social climate. The quantitative survey method is a questionnaire designed to find out how society perceives homosexuality. Questionnaires are evaluated and presented in the forms of tables, graphs and written descriptions. The primary goal of the thesis is to analyse the psychological development of a homosexual individual, to contribute to a liberal, objective view of the issue of homosexuality in order to alleviate the negative opinions of the public on a person with a different sexual orientation.
