To Theories of Text Interpretation

Abstract:

Práce „K teoriím interpretace textu“ se zabývá tématem interpretace textu z filozofického hlediska. Výchozím přístupem je pojetí interpretace jako umění výkladu, které formulovala hermeneutika v souvislosti se specifickými nároky metodologie humanitních věd. Je zde představena problematika interpretace s ohledem na její vývoj v dějinách, a to s důrazem na interpretační přístupy od 20.století po dnešek. Zaměření na interpretační přístupy 20. století je charakterizováno zpracováním základních interpretačních teorií s ohledem na filozofické směry a hlavní myšlenkové proudy. Současně jsou v práci nastíněna témata, jako jazyk, znak či literární dílo, v jejichž kontextu je interpretace zpracovávána. Jelikož se jedná o téma, které stojí na pomezí několika badatelských oborů, jsou zde zahrnuty a stručně prezentovány významné poznatky nejen z filozofie, ale také z oblasti literární vědy či estetiky.

Abstract:

The paper “To theories of text interpretation” deals with interpretation of a text from a philosophical perspective. The starting point is conception of interpretation as art of interpretation; this conception has been formulated by hermeneutics in relation with specific demands of methodology of humanities. Problems of interpretation with respect to its development in history are presented here, emphasizing interpretation approaches dating from 20th century until today. Aiming at interpretation approaches of 20th century is characterised by elaborating of basic interpretation theories with respect to philosophical styles and main strains of thought. Also topics like language, sign or literary work are outlined here in which context interpretation is performed. As it is a theme that touches several research fields, significant pieces of knowledge not only from philosophy, but also from literary science or aesthetic areas are briefly presented in the paper.
