Nonproliferation Policy of George W. Bush Administration: The Cases of Iran and North Korea

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá americkou politikou nešíření jaderných zbraní během prezidentství George W. Bushe. V první části je zkoumán vývoj této politiky, její formulace v oficiálních dokumentech Bushovy administrativy a specifické prostředky její implementace. Druhá část se zabývá přístupem americké administrativy k jadernému vývoji v Íránu, je analyzována použitá strategie a zhodnocen její úspěch. Ve třetí části je pak stejnému zkoumání podrobena americká politika nešíření jaderných zbraní vůči Severní Koreji.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the U.S. nonproliferation policy of George W. Bush administration. The first part studies the evolution of this policy, its formulation in official documents of the Bush administration and specific means of its implementation. In the next part of the thesis the approach of the U.S. administration to the nuclear developments in Iran is described and success of the U.S. strategy is assessed. In the third part of the thesis the U.S. nonproliferation policy towards North Korea is examined in the same way.
