Acoustic treatments of listening room

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na návrh a konstrukci Helmholtzova rezonátoru pro poslechovou místnost. V úvodu práce jsou probrány základní teoretické znalosti z prostorové akustiky. Dále jsou shrnuty požadavky na poslechovou místnost z hlediska příslušných norem a popsány základní uspořádání reproduktorových sestav. Další části práce se věnují teorii pro návrh Helmholtzova rezonátoru a seznámení se současným stavem místnosti. Na základně teoretických výpočtů byl navržen Helmholtzův rezonátor a po realizaci byly změřeny jeho skutečné vlastnosti. Výsledky měření jsou zhodnoceny v závěru práce.

Abstract:

This master thesis is focused on the design and construction of a Helmholtz resonator for a listening room. The introduction discusses basic theoretical knowledge from spatial acoustics. Furthermore, the requirements for the listening room in terms of relevant standards are summarized, and the basic arrangements of speaker setups are described. Next parts of the work are devoted to the theory for the design of a Helmholtz resonator and familiarization with the current state of the room. Based on theoretical calculations, a Helmholtz resonator was designed, and its actual properties were measured after implementation. The measurement results are evaluated in the conclusion of the work.
