Tato diplomová práce vychází z teoretických předpokladů agenda-setting neboli nastolování agendy. V teoretické části je popsán historický vývoj jak tištěných, tak i elektronických médií. The thesis is based on theoretical assumptions of agenda-setting or establishing agenda. The theoretical part describes the historical development of both printed and electronic media. Further it describes the agenda-setting theory and the first researches made in the 1970s in the USA. The practical part of the thesis deals with comparison of the media and public agenda.
