Preparation and characterization of physically foamed polylactide structures

Abstract:

Teoretická část diplomové práce se zabývá polymerními pěnami. Popisuje typy pěn, používané materiály, procesy výroby a aspekty, které mají vliv na konečné vlastnosti polymerní pěny. V teoretické části je také částečně rozebrán princip přípravy polymerních pěn, který byl použit v praktické části. Praktická část se zabývá přípravou polymerních pěn fyzikálním lehčením v tlakové komůrce a následně pak charakterizací připravených vzorků. K výrobě pěny byla použita kyselina polymléčná s přídavkem rozličných nukleačních činidel (polyethylentereftalát, slída, hlinitokřemičitan zeolit a oxid titaničitý).

Abstract:

The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with polymer foams. It describes the production processes as well as the aspects that affect the final properties of the polymer foam. The theoretical part also partially discusses the preparation principle of polymeric foams, which was used in the practical part. The practical part deals with the physical preparation of polymer foams by lightening in a pressure chamber and then the characterization of the resulting samples. Polylactic acid with the addition of various nucleating agents (polyethylene terephthalate, mica, aluminosilicate zeolite and titanium dioxide) was used to produce the foam.
