Value added tax and its application in the business activities of self-employed persons

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá daní z přidané hodnoty. Cílem práce je zjistit a vyhodnotit dopady uplatňování daně z přidané hodnoty v podnikatelské činnosti osoby samostatně výdělečně činné. V první části jsou popsány pojmy týkající se jednotlivých typů daní. V dalších částech je popsána historie daně z přidané hodnoty a její zavedení v České republice v období po listopadu 1989 a dále od roku 1992 po současnost. V jednotlivých kapitolách je popsána harmonizace se směrnicemi Evropské unie, základní pojmy, vysvětlen princip a registrace k dani z přidané hodnoty včetně podávání přiznání a souvisejících hlášení. Závěr práce je věnován vrácení nadměrného odpočtu daně a vlastní daňové povinnosti u vybraného podnikatelského subjektu, kterým je osoba samostatně výdělečně činná.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses with value added tax. The aim of this thesis is to identify and evaluate the effects of the application of value added tax in the business activities of a self-employed person. The first part of the thesis describes the concepts related to individual types of taxes. The following sections of the thesis describe the history of value added tax and its introduction in the Czech Republic in the period after November 1989 and from 1992 to the present. The individual chapters describe the harmonization with the directives of the European Union, basic concepts, explain the principle and registration for value added tax, including filing returns, including related reports. The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to the return of excess tax and the actual tax liability of the selected business entity, which is a self-employed person.
