The influence of state interventions on national savings

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá státními zásahy do ekonomiky v souvislosti s národními úsporami. Konkrétně se zabývá Spojenými státy v době krize, která vypuknula v roce 2007. Cílem práce je určit vliv těchto zásahů na hospodářský vývoj, zejména na vývoj národních úspor, které vnímá jako indikátor stabilního hospodářského růstu. Pomocí ekonomických teorií, keynesiánství a monetarismu, vysvětluje princip chování úspor v ekonomice a funkčnost těchto teorií demonstruje na napozorovaných datech. Poté se zabývá konkrétní hospodářskou situací, tedy krizí ve Spojených státech. Zkoumá vládní zásahy z pohledu ekonomických teorií a z pohledu politických tvůrců. Závěry vyplývající z těchto pozorování se následně snaží formulovat do doporučení pro budoucí politiky.

Abstract:

This work deals with state interventions in the economy in the context of national savings. It deals specifically with the United States in time of crisis, which fland up in 2007. The aim of this study is to determine the impact of these interventions on economic development, particularly on the development of national savings, which is perceived as an indicator of steady economic growth. Using economic theory, Keynesianism and monetarism, it explains the principle of behavior of savings in the economy, and functionality of these theories demonstrates on the empirici data. Then this work deals with the specific economic situation, namely the crisis in the United States. Examines government intervention in terms of economic theory from the standpoint of policy makers. Conclusions resulting from these observations then tries to formulate into recommendations for future policy.
