History of hop fields and vineyards in the light of inventories of burghers from Litoměřice in first half of 17th century

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je na základě analýzy pozůstalosti litoměřických měšťanů v první polovině 17. století, které jsou zachyceny v Knize sirotčí a inventářů z let 1599 - 1657 (SOkA Lovosice), podchytit stav vinic a chmelnic v majetku měšťanů s ohledem na jejich hospodářské aktivity a sociální zakotvení v městské společnosti. Bakalářská práce zachycuje majetkové zázemí držitelů vinic a chmelnic, jejich profesní zaměření a roli pěstování vinné révy a chmelu v měšťanském hospodaření. Práce je zakotvena v přehledu dějin královského města Litoměřic na přelomu 16. a poloviny 17. století obecně, zejména se zaměří na jeho hospodářský vývoj. Zájem bude zaměřen též na produkci vína a piva. Práce pak jako celek podchycuje regionální sondu do podoby vinařství v Litoměřicích a jeho okolí.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor's thesis is based on the analysis of the estate of Litoměřice burghers in the first half of the 17th century, which are recorded in the Book of Orphans and Inventories from 1599 - 1657 (SOkA Lovosice) to capture the state of vineyards and hop gardens owned by burghers anchoring in urban society. The bachelor's thesis captures the property background of holders of vineyards and hop gardens, their professional focus and the role of growing vines and hops in bourgeois farming. The work is anchored in an overview of the history of the royal town of Litoměřice at the turn of the 16th and the middle of the 17th century in general, especially focusing on its economic development. Interest will also be focused on wine and beer production. The work as a whole captures the regional probe into the form of viticulture in Litoměřice and its surroundings.
