Zhodnocení významu Průmyslu 4.0 pro maloobchodní odvětví České republiky

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zhodnotit významnost Průmyslu 4.0 v pojetí maloobchodního odvětví v České republice a odhalit významná související specifika daného trhu. K dosáhnutí tohoto cíle práce poskytuje ucelený přehled o globálním maloobchodním sektoru a souvisejících trendech založených na vědeckém výzkumu, odborných studiích a firemních zprávách. Následně práce uvádí hlavní myšlenky konceptu Průmyslu 4.0 spolu s popisem průmyslových revolucí, souvisejícího ekosystému a vybraných technologií. Hlavní část práce tvoří kvalitativní výzkum, kterého součástí bylo provedení polo strukturovaných rozhovorů s respondenty z 8 maloobchodních firem. Výzkum umožnil zodpovězení 6 výzkumných otázek s cílem zhodnotit současnou dynamiku českého maloobchodního sektoru ve vztahu k Průmyslu 4.0. Výsledky práce naznačují, že čeští maloobchodníci jsou s tímto termínem obeznámeni, ale jeho význam je lépe pochopen v oblasti dodavatelského řetězce. Maloobchodníci mají smíšené pocity ohledně Průmyslu 4.0 a jsou často skeptičtí ohledně jeho dopadu na finanční prosperitu firem. V souvislosti s trendem pod nazvaném omnichannel existují náznaky, že aktivita v maloobchodu bude směrem k Průmyslu 4.0 růst.

Abstract:

This thesis aims to evaluate the relevance of Industry 4.0 practices within the retail sector in Czechia and uncover Czech retail specifics related to Industry 4.0. To achieve the aim, the thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the global retail sector and related trends based on academic papers, professional studies and company reports. The concept of Industry 4.0 is introduced, together with the description of the industrial revolutions, Industry 4.0 ecosystem and selected technologies. The key part of the paper forms qualitative research. Semi-structured interviews with respondents from 8 retail companies were conducted to answer 6 research questions to evaluate the current dynamics of Czech retail sector in relation to Industry 4.0. The outcomes of the thesis suggest that Czech retailers are familiar with the term, but its concepts are more understood within the supply chain area. Retailers have mixed feelings about Industry 4.0 and are often sceptical about its business benefits. Considering the omnichannel trend, there are indications that the activity towards Industry 4.0 will be growing.
