The language of hip-hop culture in the Czech and Polish realities

Abstract:

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie kultury hip-hopowej - jej problematyki oraz wkładu do kultury ogólnej z nastawieniem na materiał językowy kojarzony i związany z hip-hopem. Zaprezentowana zostanie wielopłaszczyznowość, wielkość oraz przejawy tego dorobku w kulturze, w zależności od kraju, a w niniejszej pracy pod uwagę brane będą Polska i Czechy. Uwzględniona zostanie geneza oraz tło historyczne tej kultury, jej początki na terytoriach wybranych państw i postaci, w jakich się przejawiała oraz w jakich jest widoczna dzisiaj. Materiał zostanie wzbogacony o przekłady polskie i czeskie tego gatunku utworów w poszczególnych krajach. Praca składa się z trzech części: teoretycznej, wprowadzającej do problematyki kultury hip-hop, teoretycznej omawiającej zagadnienia językowe oraz analityczno-praktycznej.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to present the hip-hop culture - its problematics and contribution to general culture, focusing on lexical material associated and related to hip-hop. The thesis presents multidimensionality, scale and indicantions in culture, depending on the country and here we will consider the Czech Republic and Poland. I will embody the genesis, historical background and beging of the hip-hop culture on theritories of the mentioned countries and forms it in the past and currently. The material will be enriched with Czech and Polish translations of rap songs of particular country. The thesis concists of three parts: theoretical - introduction to the culture, theoretical - explaining basic language issues and analytic-practical.
