Reflection of identity and Slavism in the conflict in Ukraine

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce bude se zabývat problematikou vlivu identit a sebevnímání jedinců v kontextu vypukle v roce 2014 války na východě Ukrajiny. Nejprve, pozornost bude věnována stručnému historickému pozadí, což je nezbytné pro lepší porozumění tématu. Druhou částí práce je zkoumání a analýza současné situace v zemí, jak lokálně na východě, tak i v rámci celého státu. Jsou odhaleny hlavní lokální a zahraniční aktéry, veřejná nálada a tendence v kontextu ukrajinské a slovanské identity. Je také položená otázka o budoucnosti vývoje konfliktu.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis will deal with the issue of the influence of identities and self-perception of individuals in the context of the 2014 war in eastern Ukraine. First, attention will be paid to a brief historical background, which is necessary for a better understanding of the topic. The second part of the work is the examination and analysis of the current situation in the countries, both locally in the east and within the entire state. The main local and foreign actors, public mood and tendencies in the context of Ukrainian and Slavic identity are revealed. The question is asked about the future of the conflict.
