The transmission of family history on the example of a slovak family

Abstract:

This thesis deals with transmission and transfer of family history between the generations in the family. It describes family history, its contents and the types of means of transmission in the family, as its transmission is understood as a part of intergenerational learning, which allows the individual members of the family to learn skills and experiences necesarry for their future lives, as well as it offers a lot of factographical information about individuals and the time when they lived. By the means of qualitative research design, using the method of in-depth interviews and the analysis of the objects of family history, it creates the biography of the family itself and identifies the exact cases of transmission of family history and its contents in a contemporary slovak family. It is a probe into the area of research of family history and it tries to describe this phenomen, its contents and transmission in detail and in depth, al lthe while trying to maintain its complex view on this case. It is an incentive to think about the implications of transmission of the family history and its connection to family resilience.

Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca za ako hlavnou témou zaoberá prenosom a tradovaním rodinnej histórie medzi generáciami v rodine. Popisuje rodinnú históriu, jej obsahy a spôsoby prenosu v rodine, pričom jej prenos je chápaný ako súčasť medzigeneračného učenia, ktorá umožňuje jednotlivým jej členom osvojovať si dovednosti a zručnosti potrebné pre budúci život, rovnako ako poskytuje množstvo faktografických informácií o jedincoch a dobe, v ktorej žili. Pomocou kvalitatívneho výskumného dizajnu, použitia metódy hĺbkových rozhovorov a analýzy predmetov rodinnej histórie vytvára biografiu rodiny a identifikuje konkrétne prípady prenosu rodinnej histórie a jej obsahy na súčasnej slovenskej rodine. Je sondou do oblasti skúmania rodinnej histórie a snaží sa tento jav, jeho obsahy a prenosy popísať podrobne a do hĺbky, no zároveň si uchovať komplexný pohľad na tento prípad. Je podnetom k zamysleniu nad implikáciami prenosu rodinnej histórie a jeho spätosti s rodinnou resilienciou.
