The changes in journalistic practices in editorial staff of Hospodářské noviny in relation to the creation of the integrated newsroom

Abstract:

Práce z oblasti nových trendů v žurnalistice, konkrétně multimedializace a konvergence, si klade za cíl charakterizovat za pomoci kvalitativních výzkumných metod změny, které postihly práci žurnalistů po sloučení redakcí vydavatelství Economia do integrovaného newsroomu. Předmětem zkoumání je redakce Hospodářských novin. Teoretická část vymezuje na základě odborné literatury pojmy multimedializace, konvergence a proměnu mediální organizace, kterou technologický vývoj a sloučení redakcí způsobil. Hlavním přínosem této práce je teoretické a empirické uchopení problematiky, která doposud nebyla zkoumána na vybraném výzkumném vzorku – redakci Hospodářských novin.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis deals with the new trends in the field of journalism, specifically the multimedialization and convergence with the target to characterize and describe the journalistic procedures and research methods after the merger of the editorial staff sections of the Economia publishing house into the integrated newsroom. The object of the research is the editorial team of the daily newspaper „Hospodářské noviny“. Based on the professional literature, the theoretical part deals with the categories as the multimedialization, convergence and transformation of the organization which the technological development and the merger have caused. The main contribution of this thesis is the theoretical and empirical definition of the issue, which has not yet been investigated in the relation to the selected research sample – the editorial team of the newspaper „Hospodářské noviny“.
