Traces of the Jewish national minority in the region of Horažďovice.

Abstract:

The goal of this bachelor work is to describe the traces of the Jewish minority in the region of Horažďovice. The work is devided into two main parts, namely theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part contains three chapters, which deal with the topics of Horažďovice as a town and the Judaism, the Jews and their languages. The pieces of information from these two chapters support the better understanding of connections in the third chapter. The third chapter is concerned with the concrete Jewish minority, which has lived in Horažďovice, and the traces it left in the town. The fifth chapter is dedicated to questionnaire, which judges the amount of pieces of information, which the citizen of the town Horažďovice have about the Jewish minority in Horažďovice. In the questionnaire have participated respondents of various age groups as well as various degrees of education, who permanently live in Horažďovice or its closest surroundings.

Abstract:

Úkolem této bakalářské práce je popsat stopy židovské menšiny na území města Horažďovic. Práce se pomyslně dělí na dvě hlavní části a to na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Teoretická část obsahuje tři kapitoly, které všeobecně pojednávají o daném tématu. Dvě kapitoly pojednávají o Horažďovicích jako městě, židovství, židech a jejich jazycích. Informace z prvních dvou kapitol slouží jako podpůrný materiál k lepšímu pochopení souvislostí ve třetí kapitole. Třetí kapitola se pak zabývá onou konkrétní židovskou menšinou, která v Horažďovicích žila, a stopami, které po sobě zanechala. Pátá kapitola se věnuje dotazníku, který hodnotí hloubku informací, které horažďovičtí občané o židovské menšině v Horažďovicích mají. Dotazníku se zúčastnili respondenti různých věkových kategorií a různých stupňů nejvyššího dosaženého vzdělání, kteří trvale žijí v Horažďovicích nebo jejich blízkém okolí.
