Active shooter attacks – Analysis of the most important cases

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá segmentem útoků aktivních střelců. V prvních kapitolách teoretické části je čtenáři stručně vysvětleno definice, co je aktivní střelec a z jakého důvodu útočí. V krátkém exkurzu do historie jsou chronologicky popsány některé případy útoků na různé cíle v různých koutech světa, v korelaci s tehdejšími politickými a náboženskými událostmi. Těžištěm práce je analýza a komparace vybraných útoků na školy, divadla redakce atd, formou případových studií. V závěru práce jsou popsána některá opatření a postupy bezpečnostních složek, jak v preventivní rovině, tak v případě bezprostřední hrozby.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the segment of attacks of active shooters. In the first chapters of the theoretical part, the reader is briefly explained what an active shooter is and why he is attacks. In a brief excursion into history, some cases of attacks on various targets in different parts of the world are correlated chronologically, correlating with the political and religious events of the time. The focus of the thesis is the analysis and comparison of selected attacks on schools, editorial theaters, etc., in the form of case studies. In conclusion, some measures and procedures of security forces are described, both in the preventive level and in case of immediate threat.
