Analysis of the retirement pension system in Slovakia

Abstract:

The thesis Analysis of the retirement pension system in Slovakia is looking at the issue, which is currently moving the whole world.Pension systems are experiencing a crisis, which started the global financial crisis in the U.S. and due to the impact of globalization came into the European Union. Not only Slovakia, but also other European countries before the crisis have been forced to deal with their pension systems, but the crisis has only accelerated. The core of our thesis was to analyze the pension system in Slovakia, its history, reform, pension systems comparison with selected countries, trends and future of the pensions. For the model example, we calculated the amount of pensions of the persons selected and we made a comparison of the Payg and funded pillar. We also documented the advantages and disadvantages of both. Comparison said that preferably is the second pillar provided to the realizing offorecast variables.In this work we have discussed the possibilities of ensuring the future through other voluntary financial products such as capital life insurance and unit trusts and widely known forms of saving in financial institutions. Based on the analysis offered the advantages of individual options, we propose optimal solutions.

Diplomová práca Analýza systému starobných dôchodkov na Slovensku je pohľadom na problematiku, ktorá v súčasnej dobe hýbe celým svetom. Dôchodkové systémy prežívajú krízu, ktorá sa začala globálnou finančnou krízou v USA a vplyvom globalizácie sa dostala aj do Európskej únie. Nielen Slovensko, ale aj ostatné európske štáty už pred krízou boli nútené zaoberať sa svojimi dôchodkovými systémami, ale kríza to len urýchlila. Jadrom našej diplomovej práce bola analýza dôchodkového systému na Slovensku, jeho história, reforma, porovnanie s dôchodkovými systémami vybraných krajín, trendy a budúcnosť dôchodkov. Na modelovom príklade sme vypočítali výšky dôchodkov vybraných osôb a urobili sme porovnanie priebežného a kapitalizačného piliera. Súčasne sme zdokumentovali výhody a nevýhody obidvoch. Porovnanie vychádza výhodnejšie pre druhý pilier za podmienky uskutočnenia prognózovaných premenných veličín. V práci sme sa zaoberali aj možnosťami zabezpečenia budúcnosti prostredníctvom iných dobrovoľných finančných produktov ako sú kapitálové životné poistenie, podielové fondy a všeobecne známe formy šetrenia v peňažných ústavoch. Na základe analýzy výhodnosti jednotlivých ponúkaných možností sme navrhli optimálne riešenia.
