Abstract:

This master thesis deals with politeness in Czech and British political debates. The aim of this thesis is to analyse and compare the usage of different politeness strategies in the political debates. This thesis uses Brown and Levinson's theory of politeness for the analysis. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem zdvořilostních strategií v českých a britských politických debatách. Cílem této práce je analýza a porovnání použití různých zdvořilostních strategií v politických debatách. Tato práce se zaměřuje na teorii Brownové a Levinsona.
