Abstract:

Práce se zabývá vztahy Austrálie a Nového Zélandu ke Spojeným státům americkým, a to v časovém období po skončení druhé světové války až do současnosti. Spojené státy se po druhé světové válce stávají stěžejním partnerem těchto dvou zemí. Vztahy a vzájemná spolupráce mezi výše uvedenými státy jsou rozděleny do čtyř dimenzí, a sice ekonomické, bezpečnostní, politické a kulturní. Má hypotéza zní, že spolupráce a vztahy Austrálie a Nového Zélandu ke Spojeným státům jsou spíše uvolňovány a pozornost těchto států je upírána především na asijsko-pacifický region a související asijské státy. Na celou problematiku spolupráce výše uvedených států je nahlíženo prostřednictvím vybraných teorií mezinárodních vztahů.

Abstract:

The thesis handles the relationships of Australia and New Zealand towards the United States after the Second World War. After the war the United States became a crucial partner of these two countries. The relationships and mutual cooperation between said states are divided into four groups, namely economical, security, political and cultural. According to my hypothesis, the cooperation and relations of Australia and New Zealand towards the United States are becoming rather loose and the attention of these states is focused mostly on Asia-Pacific region and related Asian countries. The whole issue of cooperation of said states is being viewed through chosen theories of international relations.
