A Microcontroller System for Monitoring Terrariums

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je vytvořit jednoduché zařízení zajišťující ideální životní podmínky terarijního živočicha. Zařízení sleduje za pomoci mikropočítače Arduino teplotu spolu s vlhkostí a zajišťuje přirozené denní osvětlení. Vlhkost a teplota jsou zobrazovány na LCD displeji. Pokud teplota není v žádaných hodnotách, je termostaticky upravena. V teoretické části je popsána historie vzniku mikropočítačů, jejich současná podoba a popis jednotlivých druhů mikropočítačů Arduino. V praktické části jsou popsány součástky, postup návrhu a programové řešení zařízení.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to develop a simple device providing ideal living conditions of animal in terrarium. The equipment monitors temperature along with humidity and provides natural daylight with the help of Arduino microcontroller. Humidity and temperature are displayed on the LCD. If the temperature is not at the desired levels, it is thermostatically regulated. The theoretical part describes the history of microcomputers, their current appearance and description of each type Arduino microcontrollers. The practical part describes the components, process design and device programming solutions.
