Development of a Public Debt in the Czech Republic between 2003 and 2013 and Fiscal Sustainability.

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je zhodnocení fiskálního vývoje České republiky se zaměřením na dlouhodobou fiskální udržitelnost a určení stěžejních aspektů, jež k dlouhodobé fiskální (ne)udržitelnosti přispívají. Na základě jejich analýzy a studia odborných zahraničních studií zabývajících se touto problematikou, budou v závěrečné části práce diskutovány návrhy a možná opatření, které by mohly přispět ke zlepšení fiskálního vývoje v daných oblastech a potažmo ke stabilitě a následné udržitelnosti veřejných financí České republiky.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the fiscal development of the Czech Republic, with a focus on long-term fiscal sustainability and identifying the key aspects that contribute to the long-term fiscal unsustainability. Based on their analysis, and on studying of research foreign studies dealing with the issue of unsustainability, will be in the final part of the thesis discussed the proposals and possible measures that could contribute to the improvement of fiscal development in these areas, and hence the stability and subsequent sustainability of the Czech public finances.
