This thesis is dedicated to Roberto Arlt and his lumpenproletariat. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The first theoretical part deals with the history of Argentina in the first half of the twentieth century as well as with the life and the creation of the author. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá Robertem Arltem a jeho lumpenproletariátem. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části: teoretickou a praktickou. První teoretická část se věnuje historii Argentiny v první polovině dvacátého století, životu a tvorbě autora. Dále se zaměřuje na jazykovou stránku jeho děl, zejména používání lunfarda.
