Specification of the director department in Czech feature film in comparison with commercial

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá specifikací režijního departmentu, režijních profesí a náplní práce, hledáním rozdílů mezi prací a zodpovědností celého režijního týmu v hrané tvorbě a v reklamě. Práce je rozdělena do kapitol, ve kterých se režijní department vyskytuje nebo s nimi určitým způsobem spolupracuje. Součástí práce jsou i rozhovory s osobami z režijního departmentu a se zástupci profesí, které s režijním departmentem souvisejí. Rozhovory dokreslují celkový výsledek práce stejně jako autorčina výpověď z režijní praxe, kterou souběžně se studiem absolvovala. Cílem práce je objasnit rozdíly režijního departmentu při tvorbě hraného díla a reklamy a poukázat na důležitost režijního departmentu ve všech režijních pozicích a též zdůraznit klíčovou komunikaci s ostatními departmenty.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the job description of the directing department and the directing professions. Searching for the differences between work and responsibilities of the entire directing team in feature filmmaking and advertising. The thesis is mainly divided into chapters in which the directing department is present or collaborates with them in some way. The work also includes interviews from the directing department and with professions related to them. The interviews help to contribute to the overall outcome of the thesis along with my account of my directing practice which runs alongside my studies. The aim of the thesis is to clarify the differences of the directing department in the production of fiction and commercials. To highlight the importance of the directing department in all directing positions and to highlight the key communication with other departments.
