The phenomenon of poaching

Abstract:

Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. V první části stručně popisuje fenomén pytláctví od jeho historického vzniku až do současnosti a následovně přibližuje jeho některé sociální a psychologické aspekty. Druhá část práce se zaměřuje na výzkum postojů profesionálních ochránců přírody, myslivců a rybářů, k pytláctví chráněných druhů zvířat. Prostřednictvím volných výpovědí deseti respondentů z těchto zájmových skupin se také snaží přiblížit současný stav a výskyt nelegálního lovu ve vybraných, ale většinou blíže nespecifikovaných, oblastech Zlínského a Moravskoslezského kraje. Na základě jejich výpovědí jsou pak na závěr výzkumné části identifikovány a popsány faktory, tj. specifický druh zvěře, sociální role, znalost přírody, lokalita a osobní pojetí pytláctví, které hrají důležitou roli při individuálním utváření a prezentování názorů na pytláctví.

Abstract:

This paper is devided into two parts. The first part deals with a poaching phenomenon in brief, from its historical inception up to the present, and subsequently it describes some of its social and psychological aspects. The second part focuses on research of the individual expert opinions of conservationists, hunters and fishermen on the poaching of protected animal species. By means of independent statements obtained from ten respondents coming from these interest groups, it also aims for outlining the current state and occurence of illegal hunting and fishing in the selected, mostly unspecified, Zlin and Moravian-Silesian regions. In the end there are identified and described factors based on these statements– i.e. a specific animal species, a social role, a knowledge of nature, a locality and an individual conception of poaching, that play a relevant role in individual formation and presentation of a point of view on poaching.
