Professional selfappraisal of the teacher of specialist subjects

Abstract:

Práce je věnována profesnímu sebepojetí učitele odborných předmětů na střední škole. Teoretická část je věnována historickému vývoji profese učitelství, vymezení učitelské profese, semiprofese. Profesní dráze učitele, vývoji učitele z pohledu pedagogiky. Osobnosti učitele, jeho sebepojetí, vývoji učitele z pohledu psychologie. Druhá kapitola teoretické části se zabývá typologií učitelů. Je rozdělena na typologii učitelů dle druhu školy, dle výchovného stylu, dle postoje ke školské reformě, dle postoje ke znalostem a v neposlední řadě na typologii učitelů dle celkového vztahu ke školství, ke škole jako vzdělávací instituci, k žákům a vlastní profesi. Empirická část popisuje metodu a postup výzkumu, vyhodnocuje data získaná z polostrukturovaného interview, které bylo provedeno s učiteli středních odborných škol v Ústí nad Labem. Zachycuje jednotlivé názory, zda je učitel sám se svou prací na střední škole spokojen, je na ni hrdý, je oceňován kolegy, je ochoten se dále sebevzdělávat, nemá v úmyslu vyměnit práci učitele za jinou, zda má svobodu a prostor k tvořivé práci a zda mu škola poskytuje odpovídající zázemí pro svůj další rozvoj. V závěru je vyhodnocen profesní model učitele dle předložené typologie.

Abstract:

The work is aimed at the professional self realization of the teacher of professional subjects at secondary schools. The theoretical part concentrates on the historical development of the profession of the teacher, defining the teaching profession and semiprofession, the professional life of the teacher, the development of the teacher from the point of view of pedagogy, the personality of the teacher, their self realization, and the development of the teacher from the point of view of psychology. The second chapter of the theoretical part deals with the typology of teachers. It is divided into typologies according to the type of school, according to the education style, according to the attitude towards school reform, the attitude towards knowledge and last but not least the typology of teachers according to their overall relation to the system of education, the school as an educational institution, to the pupils and to the teacher?s own profession. The empirical part describes the method and the advancement in the research; it evaluates the data required from semistructured interviews, which have been carried out with the teachers at professional secondary schools in Ústí nad Labem. It records individual opinions, whether the teacher is satisfied with his or her own work, if he or she is proud, appreciated by colleagues, willing to have further education, does not have the intention to exchange the teacher?s job for a different one, if he or she has freedom and space for creative work and if he or she is provided with the appropriate background for their future development. In the conclusion, the professional model of a teacher according to the above mentioned typology is evaluated.
