Abstract:

Mezinárodní měnový fond je jednou z nejdůležitějších nadnárodních institucí, jejímž úkolem bylo přispět k dosažení mezinárodní měnové stability, jako nezbytného předpokladu rozvoje zahraničně obchodní spolupráce. Cílem bakalářské práce je popsat a analyzovat finanční operace Mezinárodního měnového fondu, respektive finanční nástroje používané do současnosti, díky nimž MMF pomáhal zemím, jež se potýkaly s finančními problémy, včetně popisu a následného zhodnocení reformních kroků, které v reakci na vznikající události, jež způsobovaly tyto problémy, učinil. První kapitola je věnována samotnému založení a vzniku MMF, cílům, organizační struktuře a členství. Druhá kapitola se zabývá především finančními operacemi. Nejprve jsou představeny zdroje. Poté následuje analýza vývoje finančních nástrojů a jejich použití k řešení finančních problémů členských zemí. Třetí kapitola obsahuje některá již realizovaná a nově připravovaná reformní opatření, která by měla přispět ke zvýšení důvěryhodnosti a legitimity této instituce v mezinárodním měnovém systému.

Abstract:

The International Monetary Fund is one of the most important multinational authority with the task to contribute to achieve the international monetary stability as the necessary requirement for the expansion of the foreign business cooperation. The goal of the thesis is to describe and analyze the financial operations of the IMF, more precisely the financial tools, used until present time, that were used to help the countries with financial troubles including the description followed by the assessment of the reform steps, that have been made in reaction to arising events causing this troubles. The first chapter is dedicated to the formation of the IMF, goals, organizational structure and membership. The second chapter deals with financial operations in the first place. First, the resources are introduced followed by the analysis of the evolution of the financial tools and usage to the solution of financial difficulties of the members. The third chapter contains some already made and newely being prepared reform measures, that should contribute to the increase of the trustworthy and legitimacy of this institution in the international monetary system.
