Nurses\'s\' awareness about competences of nursing staff

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku informovanosti sester o kompetencích ošetřovatelského personálu. Práce je rozdělena na praktickou a teoretickou část. Teoretická část se soustřeďuje na definování ošetřovatelství, ošetřovatelské péče, ošetřovatelského týmu, a prestiže pracovníků. Dále jsou zde objasněny podmínky získání způsobilosti a tím nabytí kompetencí jednotlivých pracovníků. Praktická část je zaměřena na hodnocení znalostí sester v oblasti kompetencí jednotlivých pracovníků, legislativy a faktorů ovlivňujících názory sester na kompetence. Úroveň znalostí sester byla hodnocena v činnostech spadajících do kompetencí sanitáře, ošetřovatele, praktické sestry, všeobecné sestry a sestry specialistky v intenzivní péči. Sběr dat probíhal formou kvantitativního výzkumu na oddělením poskytující intenzivní péči, ale také na odděleních standardních. Data byla následně zhodnocena nejen dle typu oddělení, ale také s ohledem na délku praxe ve zdravotnictví a míru vzdělání.

Abstract:

The master thesis focusses on nurses´ awareness of the competences of nursing staff. The work is divided into the practical and the theoretical sections. The theoretical section defines nursing, nursing care, nursing team and prestige of the staff. Furthermore, it explains conditions for qualifications, meaning gaining competences, by particular employees. The practical section assesses the knowledge of nurses in the realm of competences of particular employees, legislation, and factors that influence nurses´ opinions of competences. The level of nurses´ knowledge was assessed in activities included in competences of hospital attendant, nursing assistant, practical nurse, registered nurse, and clinical nurse specialized in intensive care. The data were collected in the form of quantitative research in clinics with intensive care, as well as at standard departments. The data were assessed not only according to department type, but also in terms of the length of practice in health care and the level of education.
