Contextual Job Performance, Attachment Styles, and Emotional Intelligence among Bank Employees

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem emoční inteligence a vztahových vazeb na kontextuální pracovní výkonnost zaměstnanců v bankovním sektoru. Teoretická část je zaměřena na vymezení konceptů emoční inteligence a vztahových vazeb, jejich definice, rozvoj a význam v pracovním prostředí, a také na kontextuální pracovní výkonnost. Cílem práce bylo prostřednictvím kvantitativního výzkumu zjistit, jak různé dimenze emoční inteligence a typy vztahových vazeb ovlivňují interpersonální facilitaci a pracovní dedikaci. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 54 zaměstnanců bankovního sektoru. Emoční inteligence byla měřena pomocí dotazníku SEIS (Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale) a vztahové vazby prostřednictvím nástroje EWR-I (Experiences in Work Relationships - Individual). Výsledky ukázaly, že celková emoční inteligence nemá významný vliv na interpersonální facilitaci, avšak byla zjištěna negativní souvislost mezi užitím emocí a interpersonální facilitací. Dále bylo zjištěno, že interpersonální hyperaktivace nemá statisticky významný vliv na pracovní výkonnost, zatímco interpersonální deaktivace má negativní vliv na interpersonální facilitaci. Z těchto zjištění vyplývá, že školení zaměřená na efektivní využívání emočních dovedností a posilování pozitivních vztahů na pracovišti mohou přispět ke zlepšení týmové spolupráce a celkové pracovní atmosféry.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis examines the impact of emotional intelligence and relational bonds on the contextual work performance of employees in the banking sector. The theoretical part focuses on defining the concepts of emotional intelligence and relational bonds, their definitions, development, and significance in the work environment, as well as contextual work performance. The aim of the thesis was to determine, through quantitative research, how various dimensions of emotional intelligence and types attachment influence interpersonal facilitation and work dedication. The research sample consisted of 54 bank employees. Emotional intelligence was measured using the Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale (SEIS), and relational bonds were measured using the Experiences in Work Relationships - Individual (EWR-I) tool. The results showed that overall emotional intelligence does not significantly affect interpersonal facilitation; however, a negative correlation was found between the use of emotions and interpersonal facilitation. Additionally, it was found that interpersonal hyperactivation does not have a statistically significant impact on work performance, whereas interpersonal deactivation negatively affects interpersonal facilitation. These findings suggest that training focused on effectively using emotional skills and strengthening positive relationships in the workplace can help improve team cooperation and the overall work atmosphere.
