Noninvasive ventilatory support in patients with acute exacerbations of COPD
Abstract:
Do studie bylo randomizováno 36 pacientů s akutní exacerbací CHOPN, respirační acidózu a globální respirační insuficienci. Ve větvi A byli pacienti léčeni zvyklou konzervativní léčbou (kyslík, bronchodilatancia, kortikoidy), ve větvi B neinvazivní ventilací pomocí obličejové masky. Nebyl zjištěn rozdíl v mortalitě. Abstract:
Each group consisted of 36 randomised patients with acute exacerbation of COPD, respiratory acidosis and global respiratory failure were. Patients in group A were treated by conservative medical therapy (oxygen, bronchodilator, corticosteroid), patients in group B received noninvasive ventilation with face mask.
