Soudobé podoby klášterních areálů

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na soudobé podoby klášterních zahrad, zkoumá aktuální intervence do historického kontextu místa těchto areálů a jejich význam v současném životě. Práce se opírá o detailní analýzu tří vybraných klášterních areálů v České republice – Oslavany (založen jako cisterciácký klášter Vallis s. Mariae), Rajhrad (Benediktinské opatství Rajhrad) a Předklášteří (Cisterciácké opatství Porta coeli), které jsou charakteristické svým venkovským umístěním a přímou návazností na okolní krajinu. V rámci práce byly tyto areály podrobně prozkoumány z hlediska současného provozu, vegetačních prvků, historických změn funkcí a kompozičních záměrů. Zvláštní pozornost byla věnována taxonomické skladbě vegetace, včetně památných stromů a stromořadí, a také rozličným typům zahradních uspořádání. Práce dále zahrnuje komparaci s vybranými zahraničními příklady, které poskytují širší kontext a umožňují porovnání s českými příklady. Mezi zahraniční příklady patří klášter Fontevraud ve Francii, klášter Heiligenkreuz v Rakousku, Knocktopherský klášter v Irsku a klášter sv. Martina v Portugalsku, které jsou známé svými unikátními soudobými architektonickými intervencemi a novými funkcemi. Autorka uvádí i další zajímavé příklady klášterních zahrad v ČR i v zahraničí, na kterých demonstruje své doporučení. Cílem práce je nejen dokumentovat a analyzovat současný stav vybraných klášterních zahrad, ale také definovat obecné zásady pro krajinářské řešení a provoz těchto území, přičemž jsou zohledněny jejich limity i potenciál. V závěru práce jsou formulována doporučení pro integraci klášterních zahrad do života moderní společnosti, přičemž je kladen důraz na zachování historické hodnoty a kulturního dědictví.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the contemporary forms of monastic gardens, examining current interventions in the historical context of the site and their significance in contemporary life. The thesis is based on a detailed analysis of three selected monastic complexes in the Czech Republic - Oslavany (founded as the Cistercian monastery Vallis s. Mariae), Rajhrad (the Benedictine Abbey of Rajhrad) and Předklášteří (the Cistercian Abbey of Porta Coeli), which are characterised by their rural location and direct connection to the surrounding landscape. In the framework of the work, these sites were examined in detail in terms of current operation, vegetation elements, historical changes in functions and compositional intentions. Particular attention was paid to the taxonomic composition of the vegetation, including memorial trees and tree plantations, and the different types of garden layout. The work also includes comparisons with selected foreign examples, which provide a broader context and allow comparison with Czech examples. The foreign examples include, Fontevraud Monastery in France, Heiligenkreuz Monastery in Austria, Knocktopher Monastery in Ireland, and St. Martin's Monastery in Portugal, which are known for their unique contemporary architectural interventions and new features. The author also provides other interesting examples of monastic gardens in the Czech Republic and abroad, on which she demonstrates her recommendations. The aim of the work is not only to document and analyze the current state of selected monastery gardens, but also to define general principles for the landscape design and operation of these areas, taking into account their limits and potential. The thesis concludes with recommendations for the integration of monastic gardens into the life of modern society, with an emphasis on the preservation of historical value and cultural heritage.
