Education of people with the Asperger syndrome

Abstract:

Ve své diplomové práci se zabývám edukací dětí s Aspergerovým syndromem. Cílem práce je popsat osobnost, charakteristické projevy a možnosti jejich vzdělávání v České republice. Poukázat na to, jaké jsou jejich zvláštnosti při komunikaci se svým okolím, dále na to, co je nebo není pro ně obtížné, v čem dokáží vynikat a co je zajímá a baví. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. V první kapitole se věnuji osobnosti dítěte s Aspergerovým syndromem, ve druhé edukaci dětí s Aspergerovým syndromem a ve třetí charakteristickým projevům, deficitům a chování těchto dětí. V praktické části se věnuji stručné charakteristice kvalitativního výzkumu a zejména pak kazuistice jedenáctiletého chlapce s Aspergerovým syndromem.

Abstract:

This thesis concerns the education of children with Asperger syndrome. The main aim is to describe a personality and characteristic behaviour of these children, and then also possibilities of their education in the Czech Republic. As the next, it points to peculiarities of their communication with their environment, what is and what is not difficult for them, what they are good at and what interests them.The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The first chapter refers to personality of a child with Asperger syndrome, the second chapter relates to education of children with Asperger syndrome and the third concerns characteristic behaviour and deficits of these children. In the practical part, there is presented a brief description of the qualitative research, mainly one case study of 11 years old boy with Asperger syndrome.
