Maternal nutrition during pregnancy and the effect of supplements on the fetus.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá výživou matek v těhotenství a problematikou užívání doplňků stravy, které jsou určené těhotným ženám. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část je zaměřena na těhotenství, popisuje vývoj plodu v jednotlivých trimestrech. Uvádí do problematiky specifické výživy v těhotenství a popisuje rizikové faktory, které mohou negativně ovlivnit graviditu. Dále informuje o správném užívání doplňků stravy a jejich případných rizicích pro plod. Praktická část obsahuje výsledky dotazníkového šetření určeného pro těhotné ženy a matky dětí do věku 3 let a jejich zhodnocení. Výzkum je zaměřen na výživu v těhotenství, na správné užívání doplňků stravy během gravidity, a také na informovanost matek o této problematice.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with maternal nutrition during pregnancy and problems with the use of supplements, which are intended for pregnant women. It consist on theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on pregnancy, describes the development of the fetus in the individual trimester. Introduces the issues specific nutrition during pregnancy and describes risk factors, that can negatively affect pregnancy. It also provides information about the correct use of nutritional supplements and their potential risks to the fetus. The practical part contains the results of a survey intended for the pregnant women and mothers of children under the age of 3 years and their evaluation. Research is focused on nutrition in pregnancy, for proper use the supplements during pregnancy, and also on awareness of women about this issue.
