Moral story by Sophie von La Roche and their raising function

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the moral function in the work of 18th century German writer Sophie von La Roche. In the 18th century the main objective of the literature was upbringing and education of citizens and nobility. First part of this work introduces circumstances and influences on German written works of given period - Sentimentalism, Pietism and Age of Enlightenment considering the creation and life of the author. Thereafter is briefly described the life and work of the author (Bibliography) followed by an analysis and comparison of two moral stories written by Sophie von La Roche, in which are proved main elements of the period and their moral functions on the citizenry through sensitivity of the protagonists

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá tématikou morálních povídek německé spisovatelky 18. století Sophie von La Roche. V první části práce jsou popsány dobové vlivy na její dílo, její životopis a dílo. Druhá analytická část práce se věnuje dvěma morálním povídkám a jejich srovnání s ohledem na motivy, tematické prvky a formální stránku se zaměřením na jejich výchovnou funkci.
