Abstract:

Předmětem disertační práce bylo zjištění faktorů, které ovlivňují počáteční fázi setkání psů a způsob jejich vedení. Pozorování bylo provedeno na 130 a 1850 vzájemně komunikujících psech v první a druhé studii. Nejčastějším chováním bylo vzájemné očichávání psů. Výskyt zájmu o očichávání byl častější u psů menších než u psů větších. Větší zájem o očichávání projevovali psi, kteří byli vedeni majiteli opačného pohlaví. Po vzájemném přiblížení očichávali psi jako první místo na těle druhého jedince hlavu. Veřejné místo ovlivňovalo použití vodítka a to tak, že psi na volno byli častěji vedeni v parcích než na ulici. Majitelé psů, kteří se pohybovali na ulici, vedli na volno častěji dospělé psy oproti štěňatům. Při pohybu v parku byli větší psi vedeni na volno častěji než psi menší. Pohlaví psů mělo vliv na použití vodítka na ulici, kdy feny byly vedeny častěji na volno než psi. Pohlaví majitele mělo průkazný vliv na velikost venčeného psa. Větší psi byli venčeni častěji muži než ženami. Závěrem lze říci, že jak pohlaví psa, tak pohlaví majitele ovlivňuje vzájemnou komunikaci psů. Mezi další faktory, které vzájemné interakce psů ovlivňují, patří věk psa, velikost psa i způsob jeho vedení.

Abstract:

The subject of the dissertation was the identification of factors influencing the initial phase of dog encounters and how they were led. Observations were conducted on 130 and 1850 interacting dogs in the first and second study. The most common behavior was mutual sniffing. An occurrence of interest in sniffing was more common for smaller dogs than for large dogs. Bigger interest in sniffing was shown by dogs who were led by owners of the opposite sex. As the dogs approached, the dogs sniffed their heads as the first place on the other's body. The public place influenced the use of a leash so that the dogs out of leash were more often led in parks than on the street. Owners of dogs who walked them on the street led adult dogs more often than puppies. When walking in the park, larger dogs were led out of leash more often than smaller dogs. The sex of the dog influenced the use of the leash in the street, where the females were more likely to be out of leash than males. The gender of the owner had a prominent effect on the size of the walking dog. Larger dogs were more often led by men than women. In conclusion, both the sex of the dog and the owner's gender affect dog communication. Other factors that influence dog mutual interactions include the dog‘s age, size, and way of leading.
