Alternative toxicological testing of eye irritation
Abstract:
V předkládané bakalářské práci byla zpracovávána literární rešerše týkající se alternativních testů v oblasti oční dráždivosti. V experimentální části byla testována oční dráždivost dimethylformamidu a 20 %-ního roztoku imidazolu pomocí metody BCOP na hovězích rohovkách. Bylo zjištěno, že se jedná o látky silně dráždivé, a tedy mohou sloužit jako pozitivní kontrola při aplikaci tohoto testu na dalších …moreAbstract:
In this bachelor thesis, a literature review of alternative tests in the field of eye irritation was elaborated. In the experimental part, the eye irritation of dimethylformamide and 20% imidazole solution was tested using the BCOP method on bovine corneas. They have been found to be highly irritating and thus can serve as a positive control in the application of this test to other substances.
