The goal of this bachelor's thesis is the analysis of the novel „Short Letter, Long Farewell“ by the Austrian writer Peter Handke. The thesis consists of a short bioghraphy of the author, of an overview of his literary output and subsequently of the analysis of the novel itself. Cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza povídky „Krátký dopis na dlouhou rozloučenou“ od rakouského autora Petera Handkeho. Práci tvoří nejprve stručná biografie autora a přehled jeho literární tvorby, následně se zabývá dílem samotným.
