Children and juvenile's delinquency and educational problems in children's homes

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou delikvence a výchovných problémů dětí a mladistvých v dětských domovech. Práce podává ucelený výklad a přehled o delikvenci dětí a mladistvých, a dále také o dětském domově a ústavní výchově. Úvod práce je věnován vymezení důležitých pojmů, jako je dítě, mladistvý, výchovné problémy, kriminalita a delikvence. Následující část pojednává o jednotlivých faktorech zvyšujících pravděpodobnost vzniku kriminálního a delikventního chování. Samotný výzkum je zaměřen na analýzu současného stavu delikvence a výchovných problémů v dětských domovech v České republice. Pro dosažení cíle práce je zde použita analýza metodou kvantitativního výzkumu ve formě dotazníkového šetření, kterého se zúčastnilo 49 oslovených dětských domovů z celé České republiky. Ve výzkumné části práce jsou graficky a procentuálně vyjádřeny jednotlivé výchovné problémy a delikvence, které se v dětských domovech vyskytují. Následně je zde vypsán seznam těchto problémů s konkrétním popisem a možnými pedagogickými doporučeními k jejich řešení. Ve výzkumné části práce bylo dále provedeno interní šetření ve vybraném dětském domově. Na základě analýzy a následné syntézy zjištěných informací byly vytvořeny návrhy a soubor doporučení ke snížení delikvence a výchovných problémů v dětských domovech.

Abstract:

The thesis addresses the issue of delinquency and the educational challenges and difficulties of children and adolescents in children's homes. The paper provides a comprehensive explanation and overview of child and adolescent delinquency as well as children's homes and residential education. The introductory section of the paper provides definitions of key terms such as child, adolescent, educational challenges and difficulties, crime and delinquency. The following section discusses the various factors increasing the likelihood of criminal and delinquent behaviour. The research aims to analyse the current situation of delinquency and educational challenges and difficulties in children's homes in the Czech Republic. To achieve the purpose of the thesis, the analysis used is a quantitative research method in the form of a questionnaire survey in which 49 contacted children's homes from all over the Czech Republic participated. The research section of the paper contains a graphical and percentage representation of the various educational challenges and difficulties as well as delinquencies observed in children's homes. Following the survey findings, the paper lists these issues with detailed descriptions and possible educational recommendations for solving the issues. In the research part, an internal inquiry was also conducted in a particular children's home. Based on the analysis and subsequent synthesis of the overall findings, suggestions and a set of recommendations were identified to reduce delinquency and educational challenges and difficulties in children's homes.
