Problem child at the primary school - causes and possible solutions

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce bylo popsat příčiny problémového chování u dětí mladšího školního věku a možná řešení. Teoretická část je zaměřena na charakteristiku mladšího školního věku. Je zde definována rodina, typy rodin a možné krizové situace nastávající v rodinném prostředí. Dále je zde zobrazen školní kolektiv a potřeby jedince ve školním prostředí. Závěrem je definováno problémové dítě, příčiny a typy problémového chování. Praktická část obsahuje kvalitativní průzkum formou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Rozhovory byly realizovány s pěti třídními učitelkami působící na prvním stupni základní školy. Záměrem bylo zjistit příčiny problémového chování a jaké volí postupy při jeho řešení. Všechna získaná data byla následně interpretována a v závěru praktické části jsou představeny výsledky průzkumu.

Abstract:

The main task of the bachelor thesis was to describe the causes of problem behavior in children of younger school age and possible solutions. The theoretical part is focused on the characteristics of younger school age. The family, types of families and possible crisis situations occurring in the family environment are defined here. The school team and the needs of the individual in the school environment are characterized here. At the end of the theoretical part, the problem child, causes and types of problem behavior are defined. The practical part contains a qualitative survey in the form of a semi-structured interview. The interviews were conducted with five teachers in the first grade of primary school. The intention was to find out what procedures they choose to solve problem behavior and its causes. All obtained data were subsequently interpreted and at the end of the practical part the results of the survey are presented.
