The financial analysis of a trading company and a proposal for improving its finances efficiency

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je věnována problematice financí v malém a středním podniku. Zaměřuje se na správné nastavení celkového finančního plánu, efektivní vynakládání finančních prostředků, vytvoření motivačního ohodnocení zaměstnanců a tvorbu reportu, který má v budoucnu porovnávat skutečnost s plánem. Veškeré podklady jsou čerpány z reálného podnikatelského prostředí. Cílem této práce je, aby dosažené postupy a opatření mohly být ve firmě skutečně aplikovány. První část práce je věnována úvodu a přiblížení cílů této práce. Druhá část je zaměřena na teoretický výklad financí a controllingu v malém a středním podniku. V podkapitolách jsou podrobně popsány teoretické poznatky čerpané z odborných publikací, zdrojů a z vlastních znalostí a zkušeností. Další kapitoly jsou již aplikační. První z nich se věnuje analýze stavu obchodní společnosti, uvedení jejích slabých a silných stránek. V následujích kapitolách jsou jednotlivě nedostatky rozebrány. Z nich se dále čerpá a dochází k vytvoření návrhů na jejich odstranění. Finálními kroky jsou: tvorba finančního plánu, stanovení pravidel při využívání firemních financí, motivačního ohodnocení zaměstnanců a reportu. Závěr práce je hodnocení předchozích kroků a vyvození vlastního pohledu na celou práci.

Abstract:

My bachelor´s thesis concerns financial problems in a small and middle-sized bussines. It is aimed to point the right way of setting up an overall financial plan, efficient use of finances, building up system of benefits for its employes and also report creating, intended for future comparison with the original plans. All of the data used in this thesis were taken from a real bussines enviroment. The main objective of this work is that all conclusions could be applied in practice. The first part of this thesis briefs about its main points and goals. The second part concerns theoretic interpretation of financing and controling in a small and middle-sized bussines. There are detailed descriptions of theoretical knowledge taken from specialized publications and also from my personal experience in each sub-chapter. The rest of this work is concerning practice. The first chapter of that part is briefly describing a state of a trading company and its strong and weak points. Those are analysed in details in following chapters. Conclusion based on this analysis is being taken into consideration while suggesting a packet of solutions. The final steps are set as follows: Creation of a financial plan, setting up rules of use of company financies and also building up system of benefits for company employes and report creating. The last part of the work is evaluation of all steps and procedures suggested and my personal conclusion taken from this bachelor´s thesis.
