Accessibility of transport structures in public transport systems

Abstract:

Disertační práce se zabývá analýzou současného stavu vědeckého i praktického poznání v oblasti přístupnosti přestupních uzlů v ČR i v zahraničí. Analyzuje metodické přístupy k navrhování bezbariérového prostředí ve vybraných evropských zemích a v Japonsku, které v různé míře aplikují přístupy Universálního Designu. Disertační práce se věnuje přestupním uzlům se společným nástupištěm hrana ? hrana v regionální, příměstské i vysokorychlostní dopravě. Tato nástupiště v domácí legislativě nemají oporu v přípravné ani v projekční fázi. Výstupem řešení disertační práce je ?Metodika integrální přístupnosti přestupních uzlů?, zohledňující nejen samotné prostředí terminálů veřejné dopravy, ale i související aspekty vyplývající z dopravních, územně-technických a stavebně-technických vazeb okolí. Návaznost funkčních ploch ovlivňuje výslednou úroveň přístupnosti i finanční náročnost vyvolaných úprav.

Abstract:

The dissertation thesis analyses the current state of scientific and practical knowledge in the public transport hubs accessibility in the Czech Republic and abroad. It analyses methodological approaches to the design of barrier-free environments in selected European countries and Japan, which, in varying degrees, apply the approaches of Universal Design. The thesis focuses primarily on transfer hubs with a common edge-to-edge platform in regional, suburban, and high-speed public transport. Such platforms are not scientifically supported in the domestic legislation, especially in their preparatory and design phases. The outcome of the dissertation is the ?Methodology for Integral Accessibility of Transfer Hubs,? which takes into account the environment of public transport terminals as well as the related aspects arising from the transport, territorial-technical, and construction-technical interconnections of the surroundings. The functional surfaces? continuity affects the accessibility and financial demands of requested adjustments.
