Cílem této práce je stručně nastínit vývoj dvou významných náboženských skupin: Svědkové Jehovovi a Adventisté sedmého dne a pokusit se o jejich srovnání. Obě skupiny jsou si historicky i doktrinálně podobné. Vznikly v průběhu 19. století z tzv. adventistického hnutí a přestože se jedná o zcela odlišné skupiny, je možné u nich nalézt společné prvky. The goal of my thesis is to briefly outline the progression of the two significant religious groups: Jehovah's Witnesses and The Seventh-day Adventists and to try to compare them. Both groups are similiar in both historical and doctrinal ways.
