Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je zmapovat vývoj sociální demokracie v období 1948 1993. Jedná se o období, kdy Československá sociální demokracie ustoupila, přežívala v exilu a po obnovení se ještě nějakou dobu nebyla schopná ve větší míře uplatnit na politické scéně. Proto byl jako konec vybrán rok 1993, kdy proběhly ve straně změny, které vedly k zvýšení jejího vlivu. Práce se tedy věnuje úpadku sociální demokracie při nástupu Komunistické strany. Pokouší se zmapovat působení strany v exilu a popsat hlavní aktéry exilové sociální demokracie. Dále se zabývá postavením strany po pádu komunistického režimu v Československu a jejímu vývoji v tomto období. Poukazuje na důvody, proč nenastal úspěch strany hned po roce 1989 a jaké faktory vedly k zesílení vlivu strany v roce 1993.

Abstract:

The purpose of this bachelor theses is to map the social democracy evolution during the years 1948-1993. That was a period when the Czechoslovak Social Democrats stepped back from the political scene, were surviving in the exile, and it took a long time until they were able to prove successful on the political scene again. Therefore the year 1993 was chosen as the end of the period of changes that led to its increased influence and fame recovery. The thesis is focused on the social democracy decline at the ascension of the Communist Party and its rule. The thesis deals also with the status of the social democracy and its development after the communist regime fall in the Czechoslovakia. There are the main reasons of their unsuccessful recovery right after the year 1989 pointed out as well as the factors that led to the party´s rise in power in 1993.
