Jakákoli země dobrovolně se vzdávající vlastní měny ve prospěch jednotné měny ztrácí kurzový konvergenční kanál a konverguje skrze kanál inflační. Do jaké míy bude inflační kanál bolestivý, závisí na aktuální odlišnosti hospodářské úrovně příslušné konvergující ekonomiky a ekonomiky jednotné měnové zóny, v tomto případě eurozóny. Whatever country gives up its currency and adopts the currency of the common union, has to count on some impacts. The country loses its exchange rate convergential channel and the convergency is running throught the inflation.
