Attitude of social workers and workers in social services to healthy and pathological religiousness at social work with children

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá postojem sociálních pracovníků a pracovníků v sociálních službách ke zdravé a patologické religiozitě při práci s dětmi. Popisuje, jakým způsobem se mohou tyto dva póly religiozity při práci s dětmi projevovat, jaké mohou mít důsledky pro samotného pracovníka, dětské klienty i poskytované intervence. Teoretická část práce nejdříve definuje zdravou a patologickou religiozitu v obecné rovině a následně vymezuje jejich možné implikace v praxi práce s dětmi. Výzkum je založený na kvalitativní strategii. Realizovaný je formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s celkem 12 respondenty ve 4 církevních zařízeních poskytující sociální službu „nízkoprahové zařízení pro děti a mládež“. Získaná data jsou interpretována na základě otevřeného a axiálního kódování. Interpretace dat sleduje strukturu konceptu postoje a popisuje, jakým způsobem pracovníci vnímají, prožívají a uplatňují religiozitu při práci s dětmi. V závěru práce je odpověď na hlavní výzkumnou otázku a návrhy doporučení pro další výzkum a praxi.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the attitudes of social workers and workers in social services to healthy and pathological religiousness at social work with children. It describes how can to manifest these poles of religiousness in working with children, what may have consequenses for the worker himself, the childrens clients and provided intervention. The theoretical part initially defines the healthy and pathological religiousness in general and consequently defines their possible implication in the practice of the social work with children. The research is based on qualitative strategy, it is implemented in the form of semi-structured interviews with 12 respondents in the four of the ecclesiastical establishments providing social service" low-threshold facilities for children and youth". The obtained data are interpreted on the basis of open and axial coding. The interpretation of the data follows the structure of the concept of the attitude and describes how workers perceive, experience and apply the religiousness at work with children. In conclusion the answer to the main research question is describes and suggestions for further research and practice.
