Changes in the role and in the media image of Jiří Dienstbier junior

Abstract:

Předložená bakalářská práce se zabývá mediálním obrazem českého politika Jiřího Dienstbiera mladšího, proměnou jeho rolí ve třech vymezených časových úsecích a jeho zařazení do klasifikace politických lídrů (politiků-celebrit) podle Liesbeth van Zoonen. Teoretické koncepty této práce vycházejí z mediální logiky a politického marketingu. Konkrétně to jsou teorie nastolování agendy, rámování, mediální obraz, perzonaliazce a teorie celebritizace. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak se Dienstbierův mediální obraz včetně jeho rolí měnil a podle toho ho zařadit do kategorie lídrů podle van Zoonen.

Abstract:

The presented bachelor thesis deals with the media image of Czech politician Jiří Dienstbier junior, with the transformation of his role and with the inclusion in the classification of political leaders (the celebrity-politicians) by Liesbeth van Zoonen. Theoretical concepts of this work are based on media logic and political marketing (setting-agenda, framing, media image, personalization and the celebrization theory). The aim of the thesis is to answer a question how the media image of Dienstbier and his roles changed in three defined time periods and put him into the category of leaders according to van Zoonen.
