The most common judo injuries and their treatment by cryotherapy

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci jsem se rozhodl zaměřit na problematiku úrazů u výkonnostních a extraligových judistů a jejich následnou rekonvalescenci pomocí využití léčby chladem. Tato bakalářská práce je rozdělena na dvě části, a to na teoretickou a praktickou. V první teoretické části nejdříve vysvětlím problematiku bojových sportů, poté přejdu k hlavním pojmům, týkající se juda, od základní charakteristiky, historie, až po nejčastější zdravotní rizika spojená s tímto úpolovým sportem. V posledních kapitolách teoretické části se budu zabývat jednou z nejefektivnějších metod léčby úrazů pohybového ústrojí bez chemických preparátů nebo léků, a to léčbou chladem, neboli kryoterapií. Jedná se o metodu ošetření, při níž je organismus krátkodobě vystaven extrémně nízkým teplotám. Praktická část je zpracována formou ilustrativních kazuistik, ve kterých je popsán průběh rekonvalescence vybraného judisty s využitím lokální kryoterapie na postiženou oblast. Cílem bakalářské práce je přehledné shrnutí informací o výše zmíněných tématech a poukázat na možnost zrychlení rekonvalescence pomocí lokální kryoterapie.

Abstract:

In my thesis, I decided to focus on the issue of injury associated with performance and extra league judo and their subsequent recovery through the use of cold therapy. This thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical and the practical. In the first part I'll explain the issue of martial arts, then go to the main concepts related to judo, from basic characteristics, history, to the most common health risks associated with this martial art. In the last chapters of the theoretical part, I will discuss one of the most effective methods for treatment of injuries of the locomotor system without chemical drugs or medicaments using cold therapy, or cryotherapy. It is a method of treatment in which the body is briefly exposed to extremely low temperatures. The practical part is processed through illustrative case study, which describes the course of the recovery of selected judo, using local cryotherapy on the affected area. The aim of this work is summarized information on the above topics and point out the possibility to increase the recovery by local cryotherapy.
