The Tradition of Village Prose in Contemporary Czech Literature

Abstract:

Bakalárská práce sleduje prostor a proměnu vesnice v průběhu tří století, od 19. do 21., prostřednictvím vybraných děl. Teoretická část vymezuje skutečný vesnický prostor, aby bylo možné jej porovnat s podobou v literárních dílech, kontext tvorby a přibližuje základní pojmy, které jsou klíčové pro analytickou část práce - interpretaci vybraných děl. V rámci interpretace jednotlivých děl jsou sledovány prostor, téma, narativní způsoby, postavy a žánrové zařazení. Umělecké zpracování děl v adaptacích rozvíjí interpretované literární aspekty.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis traces the territory and transformation of the village over three centuries - from the 19th to the 21st - through selected novels. The true foundations of the village area, the production context are defined and basic concepts are introduced, which are further amplified in the analytical part of the work - in the interpretation of the presented works. The territory, theme, narrative, characters and specifics of genre classification are analyzed. An artistic collection of adapted works is a further development of interpreted literary aspects.
